Animation Workshop (10-14yr olds)
The incredible animation duo 'the Brothers McLeod' will be running an animation workshop for young people at Peacock Visual Arts. Greg & Myles are the creative geniuses behind "Fuggy Fuggy” and wrote and directed “Pedro and Frankensheep” as well as dozens of other films. These chaps are incredibly prolific and willing to share their secrets with 6 lucky young people. Sign up QUICK!

During their visit the Brothers McLeod will also be running workshops for young people from Barnardo’s ‘home from home’ project which enables children who care for a parent or sibling with a disability to have time out from the responsibility of caring. The animation workshops have been made possible through funding from Creative Identities. Creative Identities is an 18 month initiative funded by the Scottish Government using £1.2 million from the proceeds of crime, managed in partnership with Scottish Screen and the Scottish Arts Council.

Whether you own a video camera or not, this course will give you the basic skills to start making professional videos. The course will teach you how to plan a video production, scripting and storyboard a production, basic location sound recording and lighting techniques, directing on location, and an introduction to non-linear editing. This course will give you the skills to start making professional films. Limited to a maximum of 20 places. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Performance and Film Workshop (Free)
Workshop with Alex Patience (10–18yr olds)
Workshop participants will develop a short piece of writing or performance along with gaining an understanding of how to say, act and dramatise your piece. These new works will be rehearsed, and performed to video, with finished works being edited and out onto a group DVD to be given to all participants. This workshop is aimed at children and young adults (10-18 yr olds). Bring your own lunch. Limited to a maximum of 20 places. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Film in a Day Workshop (Free)
Workshop with Andy Kennedy (10–18yr olds)
Working in small groups you will plan, develop, and design short film ideas. From basic storyboards you will then shoot a film using professional video and audio equipment. You will then edit your short film. No experience necessary although an interest in stories, film and working in a group would be an advantage. All equipment will be provided. Participants must bring appropriate warm clothing as well as their own lunch. The workshop is aimed at children and young adults (10-18yr olds). Workshop limited to a maximum of 20 places. Story/Script-Writing Workshop with Paul Welsh (18+ yr olds)
Paul Welsh (Independent Film Producer and Executive Producer of Edge City Films and DigiCult) will deliver ‘Story Room’, a specialised story/script-writing workshop.
