The Brothers McLeod (Free)

Q&A and Screening

As part of the programme of the first Aberdeen City & Shire Film Festival, animators the 'Brothers McLeod' will be running a Q&A and screening session at Peacock Visual Arts. They will be discussing their influences and working practice with Peacock's Adam Proctor as well as screening a selection of their work including “Codswallop”.

As prolific animators, filmmakers, illustrators, designers and musicians this talk will be of great interest to all creatively minded folk.

The 'Brothers McLeod' are Greg and Myles McLeod. They have been producing work together since 2000 and created “Fuggy Fuggy”, wrote and directed CBBC’s “Pedro and Frankensheep” and have produced a series of adverts with Aardman Animations. Their recently completed film “Codswallop” has just been in competition at the prestigious Annecy Animation Festival and they are currently at work on “the Moon Bird” a 4mations Digital Shorts commission.

Talk with Johnny Burnett

Johnny Burnett will give an insightful talk on ‘Film School Vs No Film School’ including essential low budget filmmaking tips. Johnny Burnett is a graduate of the Napier Screen Academy in Edinburgh, He was a tutor at Mediabase facilities house from 2001-2006, and now works as a freelance Director, Cinematographer and Editor, both here in Scotland, and in Los Angeles.
